Adventure Racing, America's fastest-growing team sport, requires athletes to locate remote checkpoints while navigating many miles of wilderness. Relying heavily on outdoor skills such as orienteering, paddling, climbing and biking, each team must complete any given race together as a unit in order to finish. Most events feature rugged and spectacular terrain.
